Come on! cut the hedge.
Jun 26
It’s time to take action but I have tried the council and don’t know how to proceed. Over the last few years it has been increasingly difficult to get my neighbours to cut the hedge, I’m not about to start going around and cutting it myself as I used to for the old neighbours (they were single women with young children), especially as these neighbours are more able to cut the hedge as there a 3 able bodied residence living there.
There are other difficulties too the whole of the garden is a total mess, the grass is over 6ft high, there is rubbish at the back of the garden from the house when they had a clear out.
The main resident of the house goes out until 12 - 1am and coming in and then starts to wash the pots, which are clanking around in a bowless sink, and then when she puts them away she makes no effort to quietly close cupboard doors. I know it’s not a lot of noise but its enough to wake you up and break your sleep. We have talked to the neighbours about it, but trying to get it to sink in, well all I can say is “short planks and PHC” lol
All this got reported to the council, who told use to fill in the neighbour nuisance diary, which we did over a couple of months, handed in, but noting ever come of it.
While I’m having a moan about the council I have also tried over the past 5 years to get an illegal drain reported, I have tried to get in touch with environment health about a rain runoff drain situated 3 feet in front of my front door, which keep getting blocked with toilet paper and bodily waste (yes the brown lumps). I know it’s an illegal because the sewerage maybe going into the wrong drainage system. Every time I try to speak to someone a environment health, they say it’s a housing problem and who just send a team out to temporarily unblock the stinky drain.
Another garden mess in the street that the council need to be doing something about is found via the Lincolnshire Echo’s website

13 out of 13 photos cool
Jun 24
Up to date I have 13 photo’s on www.panoramio.com and today I noticed that they are now all selected to appear on google earth, how cool is that.
I must get my camera out to shot some local scenes, I keep meaning to shot St Giles Church and upload that. but to many people know me on the estate and will take the Micheal. LOL how sad am I.
In my garden I have a small patch in the back that is for the wild life, its surrounded by trees and full of weeds, wild flowers and lots of ivy. Lazy git, I here you cry and you’d be right :). well nearly, I could sort it out like the rest of the garden, but I really do like the natural looks of it.
Wild Flower?
Jun 23
This wild flower was growing through the hedge in my garden, I saw it and thought wow that looks really nice, an tried to capture it to share (I’m not a greedy man
) . I don’t know what it’s called if any one would like to enlighten me.
I could really do with getting some kind of clip on filter to help stop the UV bleed. but as the Kodak doesn’t have any lens adapter threads I’m kinda stuck
Ipod Touch Update
Jun 17
I purchased the long awaited iPhone OS 3.0 update today, it was a little clunky to buy it and slow to install, I haven’t seen my Ipod do a backup this slow since the first iPhone OS 2 update a year ago. I’m hoping its just a one of installation glitch and the backup process improves the the next sync. I don’t want to start waiting for the Next OS update to fix the slow backup like the last time
I will report back when I know for sure

My latest broadband speed test for Virgin Media. 10meg is what I pay for and about 10meg is what I get, its a shame about the upload speeds now that we are in the age of the big life share. With all those photographs to upload via Flickr and alike, lots of Videos of those special moments to show to family and friends, plus all the social networking we do isn’t it time to up the upload speeds a little.
My download speed has grown massively in the last 5 or so years but my upload speed has hardley moved. I thing the UK is lagging (pardon the pun) to the rest of the EU and the world.
This is not a dig @ virgin media, I’m sure they have a set of rules they have to follow
