Small Problem with Android Market
Jul 31st
I have just had a problem with downloading and upgrading apps from the android market, all I was getting was Download Unsuccessful
. I tried everything on 2g 3g wifi, restarting the phone. scanning the sd card, refitting it, taking the battery out, but all had no effect
lol, it was the download manager that had stuffed up so I went to :
Applications–>Settings–>Applications–>Manage applications–>Filter: All–>Download Manager–>Clear data
This worked a treat and now all is well again yay.
Ipod Touch Update
Jun 17th
I purchased the long awaited iPhone OS 3.0 update today, it was a little clunky to buy it and slow to install, I haven’t seen my Ipod do a backup this slow since the first iPhone OS 2 update a year ago. I’m hoping its just a one of installation glitch and the backup process improves the the next sync. I don’t want to start waiting for the Next OS update to fix the slow backup like the last time
I will report back when I know for sure
My New Camera
Apr 11th
I have just ordered my new camera a Kodak Z1015 IS, its 10mp and has a 15x Optical zoom and 5x digital zoom giving up to 75x zoom, amazing.
Its capable of taking HD movies (1278×720), should look nice on my 50″ LG Plasma.
The main reason I choose this camera is because its capable of saving the photo’s in the RAW format so I should be capable of making some cool HDR Images
My Bluetooth Stereo Headset
Mar 31st
This goes with my favourite gadget of the moment my Ipod touch, this Sony Blue tooth headset is great, 11 hours playtime on one charge, built in mic so I can use them with my phone ( hands free for the car, I like to say on the good side of the police
)
They come with a little Ipod adapter (TMR-BT81P) with is pre-set to work with the headset so there is no messing around pairing the two, they take a small amount of power from the Ipod to work and can by used with most Ipod models, that’s one of the reason they live around my neck, so my kids can’t nic em
The Sony DR-BT21G Headset was a birthday from my daughter Terri-lee ( she loves her dad:) ) they are very loud clear and comfortable on the ears. Defiantly the most used gadget I own
My Ipod Touch and Nokia 6500 Slide
Mar 22nd
I currently have an Ipod Touch 8gig and a Nokia 6500 Slide (3 Network, black + 4gig sd card) of course I would have loved a 32gig Iphone on contract, the lack of a decent job puts pay to that. My Ipod and phone live 24/7 in my pocket, I don’t go anywhere with out them. My iPod even goes to bed with me so I can wake up and check my mail and tweets while still in bed
The Apps I use most are Safari, Mail, Youtube, Calendar, Contacts with Groups (by Guidedways), Maps, Notes, ofc App Store, free RSS Reader, the facebook and myspace appz, twitterific, earthscape, IM+, Planets, last.FM, IJiggles (lol), remote and remote pad, too many to mention them all, basicly its always full
some of the games I like are Imob, Snake XT, Ironman, Cube and Biiball + Many others.
I use a Belkin Ipod dock with built it 5 port usb hub and an Itrip FM transmiter for my car (Dodge Caliber 08)
What I wanted was a 32gig Iphone on Contract with unlimited everything
just so I had every thing in one device. I’m sure I would use all the features even more than with the two separate devices (more texts and emails sent).
