Update on my enbrel injections

This morning I had my second Enbrel injection. For me it was harder to use in my leg than my stomach last week, but I have started to notice a marked improvement in my AS (Ankylosing Spondulitis). My sneezy tourettes have all but disappeared lol.

I have just taken delivery of the first batch of Enbrel 50mg pens, This new drug which is a biologic medicine that is made from two human proteins. It blocks the activity of another protein in the body that causes inflammation. (Hopefully stopping my ankylosing spondylitis, stopping the swollen joins and pain)
I will start to take the new drug on Tuesday, that’s the first time that a nurse can come around to supervise the first inject, making sure I do it right I guess.
I’m really hoping for big things, health improvements, a better quality of life.
Who knows what the next couple of months have in store for me. 
Any ways I will endeavour to keep my family and friends updated on my health and also post regular updates on my blog.
A great start for 2010, here’s looking forward to a brighter future.
